Eclairs & Chouquettes
Baking Experience

Learn the art of making light and airy eclairs & chouquettes in The Dough House’s new baking experience. Éclairs originated from Lyon in France in the 19th century and are made using a choux dough, filled with Chantilly cream, and topped with flavoured icing. Fulden and Jo worked with a pastry chef in France’s capital city, Paris, to master the perfect choux pastry and share the technique in this fun filled class.

You’ll make two different types of éclair: the traditional long shape, that you’ll be familiar with, but also a round shape, called a chouquette. You’ll fill both with a gorgeous ganache then top with different flavoured icings and sugar pearls for the chouquettes. Flavours will include a Classic chocolate, banoffee (banana, caramel and chocolate), ruby chocolate and raspberry, coffee, and a seasonal one like Christmas, pumpkin or citrus. At the end of the class, you will enjoy some eclairs and chouquettes with our own TDH Royal French Tea blend then take the rest home for enjoying with family and friends.
